Late payments of benefits
Many housing allowance recipients receive a back payment of benefits, as a result of the the annual adjustment of the National Insurance Scheme. The late payment shall not be counted as income when the housing allowance is calculated.
If you receive a late payment in July or August, you must appeal the decision you receive and ask that the back payment be taken out of the calculation of housing allowance.
