Work assessment allowance (AAP), unemployment benefit and housing allowance

If you receive AAP or unemployment benefit, you will not get any housing allowance in the months when you receive three payments.

AAP and unemployment benefit are calculated on the basis of the information you provide in your notification card every 14 days and when you send the card. You will be paid 2-3 days after you send the card. Provided that you send your notification card on time, twice a year you will receive three AAP payments in the same month. In those months you won't receive any housing allowance, because your income will be too high.

Learn more about how income is calculated in the page on "Qualifying income".

We cannot tell you which months this may be in your case, because AAP payments are made on an individual basis, and depend on varying notification card cycles at NAV and when you send your notification card.
