Fixed interest rate agreement

If you wish to fix the interest rate on your loan, you may apply for a fixed interest rate agreement. This means that the interest rate will be fixed for a period of 3, 5, 10 or 20 years.

You may enter into a fixed interest rate agreement between the 6th and the 24th of each month. Husbanken must receive the signed agreement no later than the 24th. The fixed-rate period will commence on the first day of the following month after the agreement has been concluded.

The fixed-rate period cannot exceed the remaining term of the loan. For example, if you have eight years remaining on your loan, you may fix the interest rate for five years, but not for ten.

You must be up to date with your loan repayments before you can enter into a fixed interest rate agreement.
