Housing allowance, loans and grants

If you have trouble paying your rent or financing the purchase of a home, you may be eligible for housing allowance or a start-up loan from your municipality. We also finance building of new homes and reconstruction projects.

Social housing, universal design and environmentally friendly housing
Housing for disadvantaged groups, universally designed homes and buildings and environmentally friendly building practices are the Norwegian State Housing Bank's main areas of responsibility.
