Biografi Susana Vasquez
Susana Vasquez, Executive Director, LISC Chicago
Former community organizer Susana Vasquez runs LISC Chicago, deploying $7 million annually to help neighborhoods become stronger and healthier. At LISC since 2003, Vasquez directed the nation’s largest demonstration of comprehensive community development, the New Communities Program, and created the Smart Communities digital-skills program that boosted internet use by 15 percent in underserved neighborhoods. LISC works across all urban issues, from housing and business to health, safety and education. LISC is an active partner on the City of Chicago’s new Tech Action Plan.
Vasquez studied history at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
