PHN12 Nordic Passive House Conference in Trondheim 22nd – 23rd October 2012
The 5th Nordic Passive House Conference will be held in Trondheim 22nd to the 23rd October 2012 at Hotel Clarion Brattøra. PHN12 Trondheim conference is the 5th conference in the Nordic series of seminars on passive houses.
The Norwegian State Housing Bank and Enova SF will arrange the conference supported by SINTEF Building and Infrastructure. The first conference was also held in Trondheim (Norway) 2008, the second in Gothenburg (Sweden) 2009, the third in Aalborg (Denmark) 2010 and the fourth in Helsinki (2011).
The aim of the Nordic Passive House conference series is to share knowledge and find new solutions for very low-energy and nearly zero-energy houses. The conferences gather along North-European building professionals increasing the awareness and acceptance of very low-energy houses in construction market.
Project Manager of the Norwegian State Housing Bank, Are Rødsjø, is looking forward to hosting next years PHN conference.
Trondheim is Norways third largest town with over 170,000 inhabitans. Trondheim is a centre of knowledge with a highly respected university, many popular colleges and a research community ranking among the best in Europe. The conference will be held from Monday to Tuesday from the 22nd to the 23rd October. We recommend spending the weekend in town the days before the conference. Amongst many attractions you can visit is Rockheim - Norway’s Interactive Home of Rock and Roll. The permanent exhibition at Rockheim is organised as a timeline, charting the development of contemporary Norwegian music and popular culture through the decades, from 1950 to the present-day.
