Take the opportunity to travel to the High North, Alta, Northern Norway and Sapmi for a conference on capacity building for sustainable places in a multicultural setting in the Circumpolar North.

The Borealis Conference was organized for the first time in 2007 and again in 2009. In 2012 The Borealis Conference will merge with the Northern Housing Forum and together they adress inspiring issues related to sustainable development of the North.One of our goals is that as many circumpolar societies as possible are represented at the conference. The number of seats is limited however, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

The Sami Parliament will be one of the places we visit during the conference

The conference is held at the University College of Finnmark, Alta, Norway.

Getting to Alta is easy. There are two airlines that fly from Oslo to Alta. SAS and Norwegian both have direct flights from Oslo, The flight time is around two hours. It is also possible to fly via Tromsø, then the estimated flight time is around three hours.

Conference fee is Norwegian kroner 1000,-

Cancellations of conference and hotel before 12th february is free of charge. Cancellations after this date will be fully charged.
